Hwayoung Baek 

BIOGRAPHY

​Hwayoung Baek is a research technician in the Department of Biomedical and Nutritional Sciences at UMass Lowell. During her master’s course at Seoul National University in Korea, she participated in projects that determined the health impacts and epigenetic effects of endocrine disruptors by monitoring and assessing their biomarkers. After earning her master’s degree, she worked as an analytical researcher in the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea and pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining the Kim Lab, her research focused on investigating physiological and pathological roles of the circadian clocks using mouse models at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
